The REACT System is part of a comprehensive energy
monitoring and management system. When used in conjunction with a Building
Automation System, this system empowers the facility manager to make
data-filled decisions to effect a positive change in energy consumption, demand
and equipment maintenance by using their buildings technologies. The objective
is to capture and record energy information, such as electricity, gas, water,
steam, etc., and other facility data and view it real time via WEB communications.
Once the data is reviewed an operator can make adjustments to their Building
Automation System to reduce energy consumption. The changes will be seen with
in hours instead of waiting 30-days for the next utility bill.
REACT gives the user the ability to store, accumulate and
analyze data from anywhere in the controlled system. The REACT System can be
used for monitor only or as a building block for a Building Automation System.
(BAS) A REACT System has eight universal inputs and eight universal outputs
with full BAS expansion capabilities that can be used to control Lighting,
Chillers, AHU’s, Boilers, etc. This enables the user to optimize building
operations based on the data collected.
REACT uses are endless. The following are just a few uses for the REACT panel.
Power Monitoring:
* Accumulate, store and analyze data.
* Compare buildings of the same use and negotiate rates with the utility.
* Utility bill monitoring. Make sure the utility is not over charging.
Power Quality Problems:
* Increase equipment service life through phase imbalance identification.
* Detect power spikes from the utility.
Tenant sub-metering:
* Monitor tenants energy usage for after hours billing.
Energy Management:
*Sub-meter additional building loads to pin point excessive use.
*Optimize scheduling and sequencing of HVAC equipment and lighting based on real
time energy usage information.
*Demand reduction by optimizing equipment start and stops.
*Improve creature comfort.
*Performance contracting monitor and verification.
*Compare budgets to actual costs
*Control operating expenses.
*Water and gas metering
REACT will truly make a Building Automation System an “Energy Management System”.
